WHO WE ARE

Cinque Terre Summer School is a school of Italian language and culture for foreigners. The project is fostered by the cultural association Rimazùu in partnership with the Genoa committee of the Dante Alighieri Society, under the patronage of the Municipality of Riomaggiore and the scientific and didactic supervision of Francesco De Nicola, founder and director of the School of Italian Language and Culture for International Students of the University of Genoa.

NON-PROFIT

As an activity of a non-profit organisation, the school does not have gains purposes: any possible income is reinvested in developing the school itself and to support the other institutional activities of the association, whose aim is the protection of the cultural heritage of Riomaggiore and the Cinque Terre.

SUSTAINABLE TOURISM

The school is intended, in accordance with the association’s aims, as an opportunity of knowledge of the region and of the local culture, as well as a means of promoting a more aware tourism, respectful of the authenticity of Riomaggiore and the Cinque Terre.

EDUCATION AND RESEARCH

The educational offer of the school is founded on three cornerstones: lingua, culture, region. In addition to the organization of summer courses for foreigners, the school carries out research activity in the areas of Italian studies and language education, also through the organization of conferences and the promotion of publications.
